ABOUT ME

I have been painting for 5 years, about the same time I retired. I live with my wife of 47 years and we have 2 grown boys. I have been practicing the 3 P’s, Painting , Pickleball and being Patient. I have taken some internet courses, I liked Blu Smith. As well as watching lot’s of “You Tube” videos. I belong to the South Surrey and White Rock Art Society. Always learning.

A short version of the Lamp Post above. As a Creative Woodworker and tradesman all my life, I started making this project for fun, but put it a side as I got busy with other things. Fast forward 20 years later, just after I retired I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I was using the Peace Arch Hospital, my local Hospital. I received really great care. When I fully recovered, The Lamp Post’s home became clear to me, I donated it to PAHF. To give a point of interest to patients in Hospice and to change their thought’s in a time of despair. It was placed in the new Hospice Garden near Peace Arch Hospital August 12, 2025 where many family’s can view, “The Lamp of Hope”.
